ARTIST STATEMENT
I create multi-media artwork that is a representation of what it's like to live with Bipolar Type II and Borderline Personality Disorder. These disorders affect my everyday life socially and physically so much so that it's hard to describe these experiences and events. Coming from someone who thinks faster than he can speak, I struggle to find ways putting the "how it affects me" in to words. Rather than me struggling to explain it, I instead use my artwork as a visual discourse; creating bold, expressive, illustrative and propaganda-like posters. The illustrations feature a central object that represent my Bipolar and Borderline triggers. These triggers are the driving force behind my actions, emotions and daily functions. The process behind these works are my way of analyzing my disorders, being mindful and learn more about who I am as a person and an artist. I seek to make work that is transferable and can function across multiple mediums while still retaining its representation
